  • ....create a conventional PlanIt campaign?

A conventional campaign can be created by simply selecting the "New Campaign button on the PlanIt front screen. This will take you into the initial campaign setup screen.

  • ...select agency, clients, brands, sales execs and so on?

The selection of each of the individual elements can be achieved by either double clicking with the left hand mouse button, this will bring up a list of the desired names of agencies and so on. Alternatively if you type in the first couple of letters of the name PlanIt will fill in the rest of the detail if it can find a match based on your input.

  • ...create a campaign of x weeks?

On the proposal tab within a campaign you can either select the start and the end dates of the campaign or you can select the campaign and input the desired duration in the weeks edit box. Simply type the desired number of weeks, i.e. 8 and PlanIt will automatically complete the end date of the campaign to match the input.

  • ...find a campaign I have worked on previously?

On the front screen of Radio PlanIt there is a button entitled "Your campaigns", clicking this button takes you into a screen where you can select a campaign of interest, the campaign nearest to the top is the campaign you worked on most recently.

  • ...create a Quick Campaign?

The front screen of Radio PlanIt has a button entitled "Quick Planner".  Click this button and you are presented with a new screen which allows you to create a quick campaign.  Fill in all of the pertinent details and click the "Start Planning Now" button to be taken into the planning system for schedule creation.

  • ...add new demos?

If you are sure the audience or demographic you want for the selected RAJAR wave does not exist contact your system supervisor, who will add it for you. Please note that to access the new demo you will have to exit the campaign and, using the amendment option, open it again when the demo has been built.

  • ...add stations to a campaign?

This can be done at any time, whether the proposal is booked or not. Select the Stations button from the proposal’s stations screen. Add new stations from the proposal’s ATP, return to the station screen and plan the new stations. For instructions on doing this please see Station Selection Details in Creating a New Campaign.

  • ...change agency, agency contact, client or brand?

A campaign’s agency, agency contact, client or brand can be changed at any time provided that no proposals are booked. Agency, client and brand are changed in the same way as they are added, agency contact can be changed by selecting a new contact from the drop down list.

  • ...change demos?

Like most elements of a campaign, a demo can be changed at any time provided that the proposal is not booked. Select the RAJAR Wave from the proposal screen, if different, and the new demographic. Once changed PlanIt will, if spots have already been planned, force GESPLAN to start and automatically rebuild the campaign using the new demo.

  • ...change spot costs?

Providing the proposal has not been booked and the date of the spots you wish to change is not prior to today’s date you can change the value of individual spots in a campaign within GESPLAN. Enter the new spot cost in the GESPLAN Spot Detail screen. Instructions for doing this can be found under GESPLAN in Creating a New Campaign.

  • ...change spot lengths?

This is done from the booking screen provided that your proposal is not booked. Click on Change Spot Lengths to change the spot length for all stations in the selected proposal.

  • ...delete spots from a proposal?

There are two ways to delete spots from an unbooked proposal. Either click on the Delete Spots button on the Planning Details screen in PlanIt. This will result in all spots for the selected proposal being deleted. Alternatively you can click on the Change Spot Lengths button in the booking page, select the spot length to be deleted and click on the Delete Spots button. This will result in only spots of the selected length in this proposal being deleted.

  • ...enter campaign and station notes?

PlanIt lets you enter Campaign, Agency, Private or Station notes. Campaign notes are printed on all agency proposals and booking forms, station notes are printed on the station’s agency proposal and booking for only those stations where notes have been entered. To enter any of these notes click on the Notes tab.

Once the notes screen has been entered, highlight the notes facility that you require. You may now enter or amend the selected set of notes. Follow this procedure to edit station notes, after first selecting the station. Notes can be edited at any time.

  • ...get a new agency, client or contact added to PlanIt?

This depends on how your system is configured and your company’s procedure. Generally it is the job of the system administrator to add agencies, clients and contacts. If in doubt … contact your system supervisor.

  • ... know a campaign has been faxed to a station?

To tell if a booking has been faxed to a station click on the View / Print Station Booking button from the Booking Screen of your campaign.

A list of all booked stations for the selected proposal is displayed, together with their order number, version number, traffic manager, fax number and, more importantly, the date and time faxed to the station.

  • ...mix ATPs in a single campaign?

PlanIt does allow you to mix ATPs in a single campaign, but it is not recommended. There are certain functions in PlanIt, such as restricting dayparts in the Station Selection Details screen, that use dayparts or other information from the first station in a single ATP. Using more than one ATP in a proposal could lead to problems with your campaign. It is better to create one ATP with all of your stations. If, for whatever reason, you must use multiple ATP’s in one proposal then select the first set of stations from your first ATP, as described in Station Selection Details, and then select another ATP and another set of stations remembering the rule that one station cannot exist in a proposal more than once, and likewise a station services and its "Total Station" counterpart cannot be included in the same proposal.

  • ...set up PCA default demographics?

Your system administrator or person responsible for PCA will create your company’s default PCA demographics for each RAJAR release.

  • Why can't I change a daypart in an ATP?
